BIODIVERSITE DES PLANTES AROMATIQUES ET MEDICINALES DES ZONES ARIDES ET SEMI-ARIDES DE L’OUEST ALGERIEN : VALORISATION DES ESPECES ENDEMIQUES, VARIABILITE ET ACTIVITES BIOLOGIQUES.

Objectifs du projet

Ce projet concerne, la valorisation non énergétique de la biomasse végétale (production et caractérisation d’huiles essentielles et d’extraits de PAM). Outre le caractère régional, il s’inscrit aussi parfaitement, tant au niveau national qu’international, dans une dynamique socio-économique mais aussi de protection et de gestion de l’environnement.
Ce projet vise :
- La sélection de plants économiquement intéressants en vue d’une mise en culture et optimisation des procédés de production.
- La contribution à la formation à la recherche et par la recherche de jeunes chercheurs notamment dans le secteur de l’analyse des huiles essentielles et d’extraits mais aussi dans le domaine de la mise en évidence des activités biologiques contre des agents pathogènes ;
- Les conditions organisationnelles de leur valorisation (mises en cultures ; unités de production et de transformation ; fédération de petits producteurs en coopératives de production et de distribution) ;
- L’ancrage d’une population rurale dont l’activité lui assure des revenus lui permettant une vie prospère.
- L’identification et la caractérisation des plantes à parfums aromatiques et médicinales (PAM) de l’Oranais Algérien et sur lesquelles peut s’appuyer un développement durable;
- La caractérisation des huiles essentielles et des extraits obtenus à partir de ces PAM par l’identification fine de leurs constituants chimiques et la mise au point de méthodes d’analyses permettant cette identification.
